Playing Area Pages have been added to our Website. These include links to relevant documents and Bowlslink results and ladders for each Playing Area. I’ve included a list of Playing Area Clubs and a link to their Website and/or Facebook page, if known. If your Club has a Website or Facebook page that is not linked can you send me an email. graeme.c.downie@gmail.com

Tribute to Margaret Sumner – OAM
The West Coast Region pays tribute to Margaret Sumner (OAM) and recognises her enormous contribution to the game of bowls as a player and administrator within our region. Condolences to her family, friends and fellow bowlers.
Margaret commenced her bowling career in 1979 at Terang Bowling Club, where she won the Club Singles title 15 times, while representing Victoria in 132 state matches plus 168 Australian matches. Margaret won State and National Singles titles as well as National Pairs and Fours titles between 1991 and 1999, and a 2-times Commonwealth Games representative.
A large turn out of family, friends and bowlers gathered at Terang to farewell Margaret Sumner (OAM) yesterday. A true champion who will sadly be missed by our bowling community. Rest in peace.

Regional Governance
Tony Sherwill (CEO Bowls Vic), Stephen Arthur (BA Regional Manger Western Vic), Mark Coleman (BA Regional Manager Metro Melb and Geelong), Marian Treweek (WCBR Secretary) and Graeme Downie (WCBR Treasurer) met at Terang BC, to discuss how our regional structure is working. It was great to have representatives from Bowls Vic and Australia visit our region to hear first hand how we are progressing with the new regional structure and governance.
